Welcome!

Founded in 1967, our Chapter brings together gardeners in the southeast Pennsylvania region who are interested in the genus rhododendron--which includes evergreen and deciduous azaleas.

At our meetings and events, we explore the wealth of rhododendron species and hybrids, rarely if ever seen in retail garden outlets, that grow so very well in our area.

Each spring the American Rhododendron Society has its annual convention. It alternates between the west coast and the east coast. It usually features outstanding speakers and many fascinating tours of private gardens. The convention also features a plant sale.

Don't miss our public Annual Plant Sale the first weekend each May at Jenkins Arboretum.  Here you can find those hard to get rhododendrons, azaleas and companion plants for your garden.  The plants you are looking for, and many you have not seen before, are probably there, and the price cannot be beat!  Then the following weekend attend the annual Flower Show each Mothers' Day.  If you join us, you will be invited to attend our annual District cuttings exchange & plant auction and Plants for Members distributions

Interested in joining us? Why not come to our next event, nearly all of which are free and open to the public, or send us an email.
